 Bright Beginnings is more than a pre-school. In late 2008, Bright Beginnings opened a separate, new building on its campus to provide additional care for children ages 5 to 14. The programs housed in the new building include: Bright Beginnings provides care to school-age children before school and after school. Parents of school-age children are encouraged to drop their children off in the mornings.
Adventures Unlimited Track-out & Summer Camp Fun, Field Trips and Friends!!! That’s what Bright Beginnings’ Adventures Unlimited Track-out & Summer Camp is all about!! Whether school-age children are “Tracked-out” from year-round schools or out for the summer from traditional schools, Adventures Unlimited offers a jam-packed schedule to keep children stimulated, happy and on-the-go!
The Adventures Unlimited program is multiple, unique camps in one! Each week, the children are introduced to new, fun activities based on the theme for the week. For example, during the Fun in the Sun week, the children built sand castles at a local lake, fished in a nearby pond and went swimming at a local pool (which they do every week during the summer!).
We understand that all parents need a little break in the evenings every now and then. So, to encourage parents to relax and unwind, we created Bright Beginnings After Dark! Every Saturday from 6pm to midnite, Bright Beginnings After Dark is open to provide parents with a safe, trusted and affordable alternative to babysitting. Children, ages 3 months to 14 years old, are welcome to drop-in and enjoy the fun, games and a movie! Dinner, which is served at 6:30pm, is included in the price, along with a snack later in the evening. Please call 919-367-0009 in advance to reserve your child’s spot on Saturday! |
We care for the children until we transport them on the Bright Beginnings bus to schools in the area (call Bright Beginnings at 919-367-0009 for a list of the schools we support). In the afternoons, we pick children up from the local schools and provide them with an enriching after-school program, including an afternoon snack, until parents arrive.
The fun for the children is not entirely outside, though. From computer games and air hockey to board games and trips to the library (don’t forget time for reading & math activities) there is never a dull moment at Adventures Unlimited!!!
